C.O.R.E. is more than our gym; it is our center. To me, having spent over 30 years in Peoria, boxing, training and investing in the community, C.O.R.E. means foundation. It’s coming from the inside, my commitment to our members comes from within, connects with the heart and soul, and is a vibe you get when you join us. Not just physical strength, but mental; the determination to get fit, stay healthy and commit to taking care of oneself.

I’ve been in the professional ring, I’ve trained 2 Junior Olympic Champs, several Golden Glove Champs and multiple state and national champions. What they understood and what all our members understand: it takes work, but I’m invested in the person, each one, 100%. I, we, will motivate you personally, be there on the hard days and pick you up. We can’t do the work for you, but we will work alongside you. I’m fortunate to be doing what I love, with dedicated people around me, staff and members.

I have a rule: never say can’t. If I have a member say that, my world stops, and I get you out of that place where you feel limited. Fitness, in any form is in the mind and I strive to motivate that way. When you motivate the mind, you change the life, and they change the lives of other people. C.O.R.E. is here to changes lives, however that fits for each individual member, we adapt, we motivate and we strengthen your core.

 

Jay Campbell

The first thing you need to know about me: I love what I do!

The second thing you need to know: I do what I do for the people that love and believe in us, in C.O.R.E.

I’ve trained and been in fitness for over 10 years. Being touched by my family roots in boxing, I started fitness training when I was 16. This got me fascinated with the whole industry and I have wanted to continue to develop skills from boxing to yoga and everything in between.

To me, it’s about the members, and keeping every session engaging and worth your effort. C.O.R.E. is the members. It’s my job, but I do this because everyone in our gym makes my day awesome. The members are my motivation to continue to educate myself on fitness, nutrition and keep being creative and run with it.

I love changing it up in every session the gym has. I’ve never been about routine, and I’ve learned through our loyal, amazing members that routine doesn’t fit our gym. I make the time to learn the motivations and goals and I take that into the sessions. I make classes tough, no doubt, but I’m working with you, I’m watching you and I’m getting you over that hump. I’m doing what I love because you’re trusting me to get you to where you want to be.

 

Michael Price

I’ve been training and fighting for over 20 years, and I believe experience is the best teacher. I believe the experience at C.O.R.E. teaches our members and our staff that fitness is a broad area and that here, your experience is personal.

To me, C.O.R.E. is family. I want our members to feel like they’ve come to a reunion, with support, where we acknowledge their progress and encouraging them to exceed their goals. C.O.R.E. is about building relationships, because you have to trust me to train you. I know your name and your goals and what your challenges are. I’m committed to everyone walking into our space because they are my C.O.R.E. family, second in my life only to my family at home. I take that seriously.

I value the variety we offer, but I’m most passionate about staying true to my kickboxing roots. I always took my fighting, training and workout seriously, feeling that it’s important to have the right technique, even if you never need to use it. I stay realistic, we do a lot of different stuff here, but when I teach boxing or kickboxing moves, you know this is the way the pros do it; I give you real world conditioning and skills. This is what motivates me: your success through the best, most effective workout I can create.

 

Traci Steiger

I have been a fitness instructor for over 10 years. If you are bored or tired of your same ole same ole workout come train here at C.O.R.E.! You’ll have fun and be challenged at the same time. I promise you will get in shape and love doing it!!!

 

Veronica Monk

I grew up with two older brothers who liked to beat me up a lot so I had to learn to stick up for myself. I dove into sports and fitness at a young age and it’s stuck with me. In high school I was a three sport athlete and went on to receive a full scholarship to play softball for Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville where I received my bachelors of science with a major in kinesiology and a minor in nutrition. Helping people reach their health and wellness goals is my passion! If you’re looking for a great workout with a great group of people, CORE is the place for you!

Ashley Scotti

Growing up, I have always had a love for health and fitness. Throughout my childhood and high school years, I had danced both for my high school and a competitive team. Entering college, I was looking for a new and challenging way to stay in shape. I started at C.O.R.E. as a member, and I instantly fell in love. C.O.R.E. offers challenging yet entertaining workouts for all skill levels, and is the perfect gym if you are looking for something more than your typical day-to-day workout.
Aside from walking in and knowing you’re about to have a unique and productive workout each day, C.O.R.E. is a family! From staff to members, there is a friendly and encouraging face everywhere you turn.
As a member and now trainer at C.O.R.E., I can promise that you will not find a better gym! Come and workout with our fit family!

 

Taylor Chan

As a certified personal trainer and future Registered Dietitian, I am a huge advocate for achieving wellness through balance and moderation. Rather than focusing on the numbers on the scale, I prefer to emphasize the strength, confidence, and empowerment that you will gain as you continue making strides toward a healthful lifestyle.

That being said, you are already super awesome just the way you are!! But if you’re looking for a fun, exciting way to mix-up your workouts, challenge yourself both mentally and physically…and maybe even make a few friends along the way, CORE is just the place for you. See you in class!!

 

Growing up, I was in many sports from soccer, gymnastics, swimming, basketball, and cheerleading. With such a wide variety of sports background, I am a definitely a believer in a balance of strength and agility. I grew up competitive and pushed hard every day. My coaches and trainers motivated me to be the best I can be. They pushed me everyday to run faster and push harder. At C.O.R.E., you will be pushed because we want you to be the best you can be.
